Dog Bites

In certain cases, a person can receive a dog bite because of a dog’s hostile and unfriendly nature.  In other instances, an otherwise friendly dog may bite a person if the dog feels he or she is in danger or is agitated, hungry or tired.

If you have been bitten by a dog, please seek medical help as soon as possible.  You may need medical care and more than one medical visit may be necessary depending on the size of the dog and the nature of your injuries. Keep all medical documents related to your injuries.

If you or a loved one has been injured through receiving a dog bite, you will also want to work with a team of lawyers who have experience in dog bite cases.  In some cases, a dog bite is a minor injury that can easily be treated. However, some dog bites can result in serious injuries.  Furthermore, a person who has been bitten by a dog and is unable to work or has any other medical problems relating to the incident may be entitled to compensation under Texas law.
