Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia attended the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated from the prestigious McCombs School of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Minor in Marketing. Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Texas.

Prior to becoming a founding partner of Carvajal Smithwick Garcia, LLP, Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia spent two years working as an Assistant District Attorney for the 79th Judicial District in Jim Wells County. Also, Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia helped maintain a general practice with her husband and law partner Michael V. Garcia who is currently the first Jim Wells County Court at Law Judge.

Charitable giving and Community Service are at the core of Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia’s values. Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia is an active member of her community and participates in many community service activities within South Texas. Mrs. Carvajal-Garcia is a proud native of Alice, Texas and has much compassion for helping the varied needs of the citizens of Jim Wells County and surrounding areas. Her belief is that giving back to her community and helping others are fundamental obligations.
